The Vastu Shastra are a complicated set of texts to understand and if we were able to do so just by looking at a table with a coupleof directions and rooms, we would not be here. The manuscripts go a lot deeper into the design specifics of spaces especially about the ways we can attract the most positive and healthy energies. To start this off, I don’t think many of you will like the first tip Vastu Shastra gives for your bedrooms – do not put a television in the bedroom, they tend to disturb your sleep patterns!

Once again, lighting is extremely important and lamps are a great way of achieving the result – always place your Elysian lamp shades in the Southern direction of the bedroom and avoid North at all costs. And on the note of avoiding, avoid placing two mirrors opposite each other as well as a mirror opposite the bed for a healthier life and no nightmares. While bright coloured walls bear an aura of positivity with them, so do subtle coloured furniture pieces for your bedroomsand living rooms,so bring colour and optimism in your bedrooms and living rooms with the help of some of our carefully selected products!

We all have bedrooms and living rooms in our houses that we design with utmost passion and the next most importantplace on that list would be the study. The study room should alwaysbe located in the North-West, West or South-West direction of the house (might help us all with those academic struggles). Another surprising tip that Vastu gives for studies is that our tables should not face the walls, instead should have an open space in front of them. More of bright natural light is a green light for the study rooms to make the brain function better and not fall asleep while completing assignments.

The idea of Vastu Shastra is extremely simple – the comfort of your home should always be complemented by positive energies, healthy lives and happiness. Although we would have never thought that directions could play such an important role in our lives – Vastu Shastra tells us about the ways we designour spaces for prosperity and joy. Our lives are influenced forever for the better just by following these simple tips!
